2nd Annual Housing SB Day
We are very excited about this year's Housing Santa Barbara Day! It is just over three weeks away and we need your assistance to help promote our community event!
We are confident the combined efforts of all agencies involved will provide our community with much needed information on affordable housing and related services by way of direct contact at the event and through the updated 2019 Affordable Housing Resource Guide. We are also confident that we will be able to spread awareness about the need to provide more affordable housing that is vital to the continued growth and vitality of Santa Barbara’s South Coast.
Attached are two flyers – one in English and one in Spanish. We are asking that you share the flyers with your contacts through email, newsletters, social media, posting to bulletin boards and by word of mouth. Resident managers, please post in your community rooms or common areas where appropriate. Please follow and share the event via our Facebook event page by searching “Housing Santa Barbara Day 2019”. I have also included the Facebook event page link below.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in our three informative workshops – the ADU process, 1st time Homeownership Opportunities, and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities – receive information from over 25 nonprofit entities and government agencies, view alternative housing ideas, and have the ability to speak to several locally elected officials on the topic of affordable housing. All this while enjoying great music from Spencer the Gardner, trolley tours of affordable housing complexes, free face painting, visit with a fire engine, food trucks, free prizes and many more activities!

Disaster Preparedness
You are cordially invited to join the California Partnership for Access to Treatment (CPAT) for a September 26th webinar on disaster preparedness for patients, caregivers, and anyone interested in preparedness as it relates to health. As California has been rocked by earthquakes and fires, this timely webinar will bring the state’s health care stakeholders together to learn about the importance of patient preparedness, resilience, and best practices in disaster preparedness for medically fragile populations. In partnership with Healthcare Ready and PhRMA, the webinar will include resources for organizations to provide to patients so they can prepare themselves for a potential disaster.
