Dear Community Caregiving Initiative (CCI) partners and organizations that serve family caregivers,
First, we want to thank those of you who have already completed the CCI agency survey! Second, we want to ask those of you who have not yet completed the survey to please do so no later than this Friday, March 31st.
We recently invited you to participate in a survey of organizations serving caregivers in Santa Barbara County. The purpose of this survey is to help us understand how organizations across Santa Barbara County are working together to better support caregivers. The agency survey is different from the recently distributed caregiver survey, which is geared for individual caregivers. The agency survey will help us look at the network of organizations serving caregivers and help us see how our "system" is evolving across the county. Completing the agency survey is as equally important as the caregiver survey that was just finished. The CCI network "maps" that we will create from this information, along with the information from the hundreds of caregivers that participated in the caregiver survey, will help us to develop a rich and nuanced understanding of the work we do and how to improve the CCI network. The information from the agency survey will help you identify new opportunities for partnership and help other organizations to identify your organization for referrals and as a potential partner.
Instructions for participating are attached, as is a copy of the survey for you to print and provide to the staff who will be helping you complete the survey. We ask that each partner agency do the following 3 steps to complete the survey:
• Step 1: Identify one person who will be responsible for completing the data collection process and entering the data into the online survey. (We hope this will be the same person each time the information is collected in the future.)
• Step 2: Convene a small group from your agency to assist in completing the survey.
• Step 3: Enter the final information collected from your small group into the online survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CCIOrganizationSurvey.
We anticipate completion of the survey will take 1 to 2 hours, including the time needed to discuss the questions among your staff and input the survey. Instructions and a copy of the agency survey are attached.
We plan to collect this information now, and again every 6 months. Results from this survey will be shared with grantees, participating organizations, and other key stakeholders at the "data party" on April 25, 2017, and semi-annually thereafter. Your answers to the first part of the survey will be seen by others. The second part of the survey is confidential, and your answers will not be seen by others.
