Ash Management Plan (URGENT)

Dear Community Network Members

Information about safe ash cleanup is being disseminated by the county and we wanted to be sure that all of you have these guidelines to minimize negative impacts to health, safety and environment.

Santa Barbara County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has developed an Ash Management Plan for the communities within the County affected by the Thomas Fire. The plan provides a consistent approach to dealing with the ash in order to protect the health of the public and the environment.

Attached please find a copy of the Ash Management Plan. Additional information and copies can also be located at Preliminary Ash Management Plan. This plan, along with other cleanup and health resource information can be located at Cleanup & Health Resources and Thomas Fire Information. Please distribute this information to all individuals actively involved in street cleanup activities. You may also want to add this information to your agency or company webpage.

Please contact Jeff Gater, Emergency Manager, at jgater@sbcoem.org with any questions.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
