Here is a predatory lending practice that was highlighted in the WSJ yesterday. Loans are being made, primarily to seniors, for energy efficiency improvements, with little regard for repayment ability. The loans are funded by investment-backed securities, same as the subprime loan crisis, and brokered by the energy contractors, many going door to door.
