Elaine K Sanchez, author of the unflinchingly honest and surprisingly funny book, "Letters from Madelyn, Chronicles of a Caregiver,” and co-founder of CaregiverHelp.com, will share stories that will touch your heart and tickle your funny bone.
She will also introduce a unique approach to developing an “attitude of creative indifference” toward the people, situations, and events that are causing you the greatest amount of emotional stress.
Ms. Sanchez will follow up her presentation with 3 CAREGIVER SURVIVAL TRAINING Workshops, one in each of the counties that CCRC serves:

Camarillo: Tuesday, September 26th (10:30 am- 4:30 pm)
Santa Barbara: Wednesday, September 27th (11 am- 5 pm)
San Luis Obispo: Thursday, September 28th (10:00 am- 4:00 pm)
You will come away from these workshops with strategies that will help you:
• Cope with Caregiver Anger and Guilt
• Deal with Caregiver Depression and Grief
• Understand and Respond to Dementia-Related Challenging Behaviors, Including Surprising and Inappropriate Sexual Behavior
• Develop a Plan for Self-Care
