Hi all,
Wanting to let you know that FSA has been awarded a *new* County-wide program, providing case management for senior victims of crime. We will be working closely with the Long Term Care Ombudsman program, Adult Protective Services, Legal Aid, and the Office of the District Attorney, to help seniors access the resources they need to be safe. Our case management services can include assessment, referrals, advocacy, linkage, supporting the completion of paperwork, problem-solving through conflicts, etc. Our services are free of cost to the client. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
Please ensure that the referrals:
· Are age 60+.
· Are victims of crime. There does not have to be documentation (like an official police report), but they have to be considered having been victimized in some way. In our reports to the funder (Cal-OES), we need to document for each client the manner in which they have been victimized.
At this time, please run all referrals by me.
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Cynthia
