Listening Session about the recent disasters and the impact on people with disabilities

Dear Stakeholders –
Save the date for an upcoming U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Stakeholder Meeting on Wednesday April 11, 2018, from 11:30 to 1:30 pm at the Independent Living Resource Center, 702 County Square Dr. Ventura, CA 93003
We are interested in hearing feedback from all stakeholders in Ventura and the surrounding areas related to disability access issues in connection with the 2017 fires and mudslides.  We are especially interested in your experiences, challenges, and recommendations related to accessibility for persons with disabilities.
During the April 11th meeting, you will hear from DHS Officer for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Cameron Quinn, from Linda Mastandrea, Director of FEMA's Office of Disability Integration and Coordination, and from Regis Phelan, Acting Director of FEMA's Office of Equal Rights.
